Tiva as a B2B2C business started solving the problem in health insurance, food and Gas. We knew to succeed in Africa, we had to build customer acquisition channels that can bring us millions of users / customers. To reach at these tractions, it took years of failures, mistakes, pivots and now through partnerships, Tiva has a customer waiting list of up to 2.4 million, growing at 300% month to month while we’re waiting for our Microfinance license from the Central banks either Nigeria or DR Congo and Tanzania.

Our Africa Food TAM is ($530B/y) SOM ($118b/Y) and SAM ($7.4b/y in Transaction resulting in $218M/y in revenues and we can achieve it by capturing only 8 million customers, by deploying our solution in one city only.


Out of 8million customers we need;- In Jan 2025, in just 6 days we registered up to 1 million subscribers despite our systems scrambling, things breaking, in Feb, 2.6 million subscribers, we ‘re growing at 100% month to month, have secured 12 key JV partnerships, and in our journey Tiva discovered hidden opportunity government contract worth up to $400/y we can easily win using our platform as soon we get our Central Bank license.

Our nearly death experience,

Failure & Pivots

From January 2024, Tiva subscription growth we hopped will happen but it kept going down, Jan - 900 users, Feb,1300, March – 400, it went down for 8 months, as we failed, we keep hearing our customers need/cry of our food product but we loved our health insurance product, so we kept pushing it, we finally come into realization our health insurance business will fail not because there is no need for health insurance, there are a reality not easy to fix at a time, we decided to pivot to Tiva food; in Oct.2024 Tiva registers its first 16k customers, Nov.2024 - 400k, Dec.98k, we closed a year with 1 million plus users in waiting list of Tiva food and in Jan 2025 registered 1 million customers in 6 days what it took us a year.


Other failures

  • Lost a $18.5M government contract but discovered what we can become

87% of Tanzanians have a mobile and telecom have health insurance products where individual can buy their coverage yet 85% of Tanzanians, 67 Zambian, 98% Congolese etc have no health insurance coverage.


After talking to customers, talking to hospitals, doctors, failed insurances companies, government agencies, community groups leaderships, who have access to millions and millions of people, we believed we would solve this problem and give each individual access to healthcare via health insurance as fundamental believed healthcare is a human right.


After signing initial contracts with key partners, banks, manufactures, telecoms etc…
